This is a particularly nice English Serving Tray more commonly known as a Butler’s Tray with a lovely deep mahogany colour to the wood. The folding table that the tray sits upon is also of very good patina. The whole item is in excellent condition in keeping with its age. The Victorian Age is from 1837 - 1901 and this item is early Victorian. This Butler’s Tray was sourced from Long Melford in Suffolk, England, U K. Originally used to bring food and drinks from the kitchen to the drawing room and used as a side table to hold drinks and as a sofa/occasional table. They are often used now in sitting rooms or in the entrance hall with, for example, a vase of flowers on top. Free delivery.
